All Political Parties Exposed Propping-Up Insolvent Gunns

Over at Tasmanian Times people like John Hawkins,  John Lawrence and Peter Henning have been piecing together the chain of events that saw Gunns fraudulently paid-out millions of taxpayer dollars with the agreement of the 3 Tasmanian political parties. Many of us knew this whole story has been rotten for years and we needed to be reminded that yes, Gunns were unable to pay their debts to Forestry Tasmania (and everybody else) in early 2011 so they begged to be released from their 2 big native timber contracts. Then unbelievably, Gunns realised they could extort tens of millions of dollars out of the hapless Giddings-Green government under the Tasmanian Forest Agreement. So they scrambled to re-activate the same native timber contracts they had released. At this stage Gunns and Forestry Tasmania were trading while insolvent. Both Lara Giddings and Nick McKim covered-up the legal advice that led to Gunns debt to Forestry Tasmania being paid by the Australian taxpayer.  Gunns also got a $23 million golden handshake for re-releasing the contracts. This is a story of massive and ongoing corruption and guess what? Its being covered-up by the dribbling, subservient Tasmanian media. They are just as guilty of systematic fraud as the other Tasmanian criminals.
