Is this another Gillard minority government fuck-up? Why is the architect of Australia's education policy David Gonski supplying Australian schoolchildren with a high-dose caffeine energy drink like 'Mother'? Gonski is Chairman of the Board of Coca-Cola Amatil. Coke always supplied drugs in various forms like cocaine in the old days down to aspartame and caffeine in the modern era. Mother energy drink made by Coca-Cola and backed by a $10 million advertising campaign contains 160mg of caffeine per 500ml. That's equal to 2 cans of Red Bull. Caffeine kills people and its also addictive. When the Australian Medical Association called for a ban on the sale of energy drinks to under 18s they were opposed by the Australian Beverages Council. Of course Coca-Cola Amatil is a member of the Beverages Council. Didn't Gillard have a problem with a man who opposes restrictions on selling caffeine energy drinks to Australian school children writing the education policy document for Australia?
