A Snapshot Of US Government Debt In Early 2026

At the end of January it's $38 trillion of 'national' or government debt. If you look at 'US gross domestic product' (GDP in green) it's at $31 trillion per year. There is also a 'US federal debt to GDP ratio' (in red) and it's at 124%.

BTW. A trillion is a one thousand billion. 

That means if every dollar earned in the US this year went to paying down debt it would not make it. The US is just treading water. They are still spending at a fast rate and repaying slowly. If it was a business it would have to file for bankruptcy. We don't pretend to be economists but it's obvious that the billionaires who are running the US are getting richer while the economy is going deeper into debt. It's like they are profiting by transferring debt to the whole country.

Observation seems to prove that's what's happening. If you consider the entire US justice system has been hijacked to cover-up a billionaire pedophile ring while stage-managing immigration 'raids' to shoot innocent citizens as a media diversion, you realize this is a country that is done economically.
