Most of the evil in the Torah comes from the 'Abrahamic Covenant' where an imaginary god tells a group of tribes he has chosen them as special, but only if they get their foreskins removed. (circumcision) God tells them he has given them a 'promised land' in exchange for their foreskins but doesn't say where the land is exactly. This is their great 'covenant'.
