Canadian Liberals Are Progressive - Australian Liberals Are Not
We are happy to have another 3 years of Labor government in Australia. This time with a lot more seats after the conservative vote collapsed.
Most seats are decided and the results are here. The new member for Bass Jess Teesdale is pictured below. At first she said she was opposed to logging native forests (we agree) but the party machine bought her into line. A lot of the time their policy is the same as the Liberals. It's about vacuuming-up votes and winning. Today Tasmania has no Liberals in the House of Representatives. Instead it has 4 great Labor females and Independent Andrew Wilkie.
What Happened To The Conservatives?
Donald Dumps war on the United States must be a factor. Why did the Republicans turn into a cult worshiping an incoherent 79 year old with obvious dementia? Why did the Liberals start slavishly imitating them?
The golf-playing sex criminal cost people real money in Australia. Millions were wiped off superannuation and retirement funds along with uncertainty about global security. The US is a failing nation allied to North Korea yet Peter Dutton thought their insanity could work here?
The Media Were Over-Hyping Dutton and The Liberals
The TV networks, 7, 9 and Sky all appeared to over-support Dutton. They are owned by oligarchs after all. Even the public broadcaster, the ABC is stacked with covert Liberals. The fact the Liberals used a Dump 'campaign chief' was electoral poison.

Clive Palmer's TV Ads Were An Abuse Of The Australian People
Palmer ran non-stop video ads for 'Trumpet Of Halfwits' that attacked Aboriginals for living in Australia for 65,000 years without inventing Tim Tams. The ads ignored the media blackout and were still running on election day on YouTube. As usual Palmer wasted million$ on his delusional vanity project and did not win a single seat. Maybe the word 'Trumpet' had something to do with it?
