Tasmanian Elder Jim Everett Explains His Case And The Court Can't Believe It

Tasmanian Aboriginal elder Jim Everett has been arrested multiple times by Tasmania Police for trespass on his native land. On April 8 he told Magistrate Webster he does not recognise their jurisdiction over him.

This is what Jim told the magistrate: 'No use talking to deaf ears. No verification of citizenship, no jurisdiction. You know this, Mr Webster, you know this'.

Apparently the court is unable to deal with this situation. This link explains what the Australian Government says about 'confirming citizenship'.

Maybe Jim's argument is he was born before 20 August 1986 or maybe it was the Tasmanian Aboriginals never ceded sovereignty to the British prison colony? We don't know. The Brits sure tried to wipe out the Tasmanian Aboriginals and caused a 'genocide' in Tasmania. Now the descendants of this penal colony are degrading every aspect of Tasmania's identity and Jim is trying to save some of it. Jim is a hero in Tasmania.

The Matter Was Then Adjourned Indefinitely

That was the outcome of Jim's 'appearance' in a Tasmanian court. So the lawyers and government have to gaze at their navels for an indefinite period of time and figure out how to prevent a rightful owner from protecting his legacy?
