Uranium Salesman Tony Abbott Visits India

Prime Minister Tony Abbott arrived in India today to sign a long-awaited deal to sell uranium to his energy-starved hosts and strengthen ties.
Abbott is expected to meet new Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior ministers during a two-day visit also aimed at boosting trade.
“We expect significant outcomes from the visit to further enhance our partnership,” said Sanjay Bhattacharya, Indian foreign ministry joint secretary, on the eve of Abbott’s arrival.

Comment. Abbott rejects an Australian head of state and yet is only too happy to peddle Australian resources. Abbott is visiting India as an Englishman because he is un-Australian due to his total lack of understanding of Australian culture and values.
