Abbott Should Not Have Got Involved In The Search For Flight MH370

It seems to us the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 nearly a month ago was seized-upon by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott as just another media opportunity.
He has left himself open to ridicule for diverting taxpayers money and Australian defence force resources into what is essentially a wild goose chase.
After countless flights and the deployment of defence assets, Abbott has found a lot of rubbish floating around in the Southern Ocean.
So what does this prove? That it's laughably easy for a foreign power to divert Australia's Prime Minister into almost any media opportunity? After declaring how cash-strapped the nation was after 6 years of Labor government, Abbott was prepared to write an open cheque to assist an incompetent airline from one of Asia's most corrupt countries. Did Tony Abbott have to declare he was 'confident' debris from the missing plane would be found? He even said 'If this mystery is solvable, we will solve it.'
This was a routine search mission that should have been handled by subordinates using limited military resources, not the full blown media circus that Tony Abbott tried to jump aboard for his political ends. We will leave you with this thought to ponder: Why isn't Abbott cleaning-up the trash he has found in the Southern Ocean'?
