Giddings - Shop Locally This Xmas Except Trains, Electricity & Consultants

She means shop locally on your own planet does she?
Just heard Lara on ABC radio imploring Tasmanians to 'shop locally this Christmas'
after 9 months of falling retail trade figures. That's unreal because less than 2 weeks ago state-owned TasRail chose to spend $20 million on 191 Chinese-made freight rolling stock. Then we had the Giddings government decision to buy Queenland electricity to power police stations, schools and even her own department. And if this does not forever cement Giddings as a hypocrite then nothing will. On the same day Lara asked Tasmanians to spend at home this Xmas her government decided to spend half a million on a Victorian consultant to help sell Auroras customers, whatever the hell that means. If Giddings is unable to influence her own government businesses then why does she think she can preach to the general public? Lara Giddings must think Tasmania is an intellectual and ethical vacuum. Nothing could be further from the truth.
